Bigg Boss 20 has started with plenty of drama, with contestants getting into arguments and also beginning to form new friendships. The show premiered on September 6, and the first episode featured several conversations about the contestants’ personal lives. One discussion involving Mahhi Vij, Isha Rikhi and Mary Kom became a major talking point after Mahhi brought up their divorces.
Mahhi was seen talking to Isha about the kind of conversations she enjoys. She said that she likes gossip and then made a remark about the number of divorcees in the Bigg Boss 20 house. She said, “Tell me who has an affair with whom outside. Teen to divorcee aarakhi hai set pe, tu main aur voh boxer (Mary Kom). Second innings to humari chal rahi hai, divorcee special (There are three divorcees on the show — you, me and that boxer (Mary Kom). Our second innings is already underway; it’s a divorcee special).”
Mahhi later asked Isha why she decided to enter Bigg Boss. Isha explained that she had always maintained a private life and said, “A lot of people don’t know me because I have always been a little private.” Mahhi responded, “You are all over the internet for the past 2 months.”
Isha then explained why she wanted people to know her independently. She said, “I don’t want people to know me as someone’s girlfriend or wife. I want to be known for my name and identity.”
Later, Mahhi asked Mary Kom about her divorce, but the boxing champion did not want to discuss the subject. Mahhi said there was no need to speak negatively about an ex because relationships can also have positive memories. Isha appeared upset by the discussion and questioned why Mahhi was continuing to ask about the subject when they had clearly shown that they did not want to talk about it.
Mahhi and Jay Bhanushali married in 2011 and announced their separation in January 2026 after 14 years of marriage. They continue to co parent their daughter. Isha’s relationship with rapper Badshah also attracted attention before the couple announced their separation after five months of marriage.
Mary Kom and Karung Onkholer married in 2005 and ended their marriage in December 2023. Mary publicly confirmed the separation in 2025.
Bigg Boss 20 premiered on September 6 with Salman Khan introducing all 16 contestants. Qazi Touqeer has also served as the sanchalak during a captaincy task. The early episodes have already featured several disagreements among the housemates.
