The relationship between TV actor Dalljiet Kaur and her estranged husband Nikhil Patel has been making headlines amid allegations of an extramarital affair. Recently, Dalljiet shared on Instagram her experience of filing an FIR against Nikhil, expressing gratitude towards the Mumbai Police for their support and efficiency.
In her post, she thanked Joint Commissioner of Police Anil Paraska and the Agripada Police Station for their prompt and kind response. She also appreciated the patience and empathy shown by Deputy Commissioner of Police Krishnakant and Senior Inspector Yogendra Pache. Dalljiet highlighted the comforting environment provided by the police, which made her and her father feel safe during the process. She concluded her post by expressing her newfound confidence in the Indian police system and their support for women.
The FIR, filed on August 2, 2024, includes charges of cruelty and criminal breach of trust against Nikhil. This follows his threats of legal action over Dalljiet’s social media posts hinting at his infidelity. Nikhil had responded to these allegations by sending Dalljiet a legal notice and threatening to donate her belongings to charity if she did not collect them from his home in Kenya.
The couple, who married in March 2023, have been embroiled in divorce speculation since February 2024, when they unfollowed each other on social media and deleted joint posts. Nikhil confirmed their split in a May 2024 interview, attributing it to Dalljiet’s decision to leave Kenya with her son Jaydon and return to India earlier in January 2024.
