Harshad Chopda, whose strong performances in TV shows such as Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai have made him a household name, remains in the news for his next venture Bade Achhe Lagte Hain Phir Se. His co-star Supriya Shukla, with whom he shared screen space in Tere Liye, recently opened up about their relationship and Harshad’s nature in an interview with Siddharth Kannan.
A Reserved but Passionate Actor
Supriya Shukla had called Harshad a “bit closed” and had said that it takes time for him to open up to others. She said that Harshad remains stuck in his own world and likes to do things in his own way. “Wo apni cheezon mein hi rehta hai aur apni hi cheezein karta rehta hai,” Supriya said. She said that it requires some effort to cross his reserved nature, but after getting connected, they both shared an excellent bond. She further added, “Wo khatkatana padta hai thoda, aur humara acha bond bann gaya tha.”

During the interview, Supriya also remembered the period when Harshad Chopda went through the death of his mother. She remembered that Harshad personally phoned her, and she canceled her shoot at once to be by his side. “He hugged me and cried unabashedly. He had a breakdown and let his emotions spill,” Supriya explained, underlining their deep emotional bond. Her act of solidarity made a lasting impression on Harshad, emphasizing their camaraderie beyond the workplace.

Supriya also commended Harshad for his hard work, describing how he takes pains to note down his scenes and attempts perfection in every character.
