The madness is paying off literally! Housefull 5, the latest entry in Bollywood’s most beloved comedy franchise, has stormed the box office, crossing the ₹100 crore mark within just four days of release. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and backed by Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film continues the franchise’s signature chaos and humour with a mega ensemble cast.
A Star-Studded Comedy Riot
Featuring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, and Johny Lever, alongside Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, and Soundarya Sharma, Housefull 5 offers a laugh-packed ride aboard a luxury cruise. The plot revolves around three men named Jolly, who become suspects in the murder of a wealthy industrialist. What follows is classic Housefull-style confusion and comedy of errors.
Box Office Performance and Unique Twist
The film earned ₹13.1 crore on Monday, following a massive ₹32.5 crore on Sunday, pushing the total to ₹101 crore in four days. Despite Monday typically seeing a drop, Housefull 5 maintained a steady pace with a 17.62% Hindi occupancy, surpassing Kesari Chapter 2’s ₹92.53 crore domestic total. The big question now is whether it can surpass Sky Force’s ₹149 crore benchmark.
Two Endings, Double the Fun
Adding to the buzz, Housefull 5 features two different endings — Housefull 5 A and Housefull 5 B. Depending on the showtime, audiences may see one of the alternate climaxes. Director Tarun Mansukhani revealed that this idea was originally conceived by producer Sajid Nadiadwala decades ago and finally brought to life with this film.
With its star power, unique storytelling twist, and box office momentum, Housefull 5 is quickly becoming one of the biggest comedy blockbusters of the year.
