Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, released in cinemas on March 30, 2025, during the Eid holiday, targeting the festive crowd. Directed by AR Murugadoss, this mass action drama was riding high on expectations because of Salman Khan’s stardom and its action content. The movie has, however, seen a soft opening and is seeing a slight decline in its box office collection after the first weekend.
Opening Weekend Performance: Subdued but Stable
Sikandar’s box office introduction was quite a lackluster one. Despite the fact that it was poised to earn somewhere in the order of Rs 30 crore on its first day, the film collected only Rs 25 crore on Sunday. On the second day, it fared somewhat better, but still collected just Rs 27 crore net within India. As much as the minimal increase did indicate, though, it was evident that Sikandar wasn’t meeting expectations as far as its opening weekend went.
The box office collection of the film, supported by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Salman Khan Films, failed to increase the box office collections as expected. At the end of its first weekend, Sikandar had not generated the sort of excitement that was anticipated for a Salman Khan film, particularly considering his much-awaited comeback to the silver screen after two years since Tiger 3 (2023).
Day 4: Continued Drop in Business
On day four, Sikandar also witnessed a dip in its box office collection, indicative of a normal post-weekend fall. Although the movie has not been termed a washout, the current trend indicates a gradual and steady fall in its collections. The movie, which was looking to make a good opening, now has the task of sustaining momentum in the days ahead.

Albeit the decline, Sikandar is likely to reach the Rs 100 crore figure by the end of its first week. Nonetheless, it has a while to go in the manner of achieving a successful run, particularly when pitted against others such as Chhaava, which became the member of the Rs 100 crore club in just three days.
Sikandar boasts of a star cast, with Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, and Sathyaraj in prominent roles, but it remains to be seen if the film can make a comeback. The coming days would be crucial to the box office fate of the film. Though the movie is not an utter disaster, it definitely needs a better show to meet the expectations and hype surrounding the film.
