Loveyapa, featuring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, is a romantic drama that is about to hit the theatres. There hasn’t been encouraging advance booking for this one. On its first day, the film has sold approximately 1,000 tickets at PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. Surprisingly, the ticket rates of Rs 99 and Rs 150 for Day 1 are not enticing this audience.

The Buzz is abysmal and Loveyapa would open to a rather dull weekend. The film would require good word-of-mouth to exert such influence on the opening that it creates a reasonable total by the end of its run.
Loveyapa would start in the range of Rs 75 lakh-Rs 1.50 crore. Bad first-day collections for the film that features the debut of two star kids-Junaid, the elder son of Aamir Khan, and Khushi, the daughter of Boney Kapoor and the late Sridevi.
Despite weak advance bookings, the makers have sealed non-theatrical deals that assure the full revenue. But box-office fate will depend on how the film performs on the big screen. To exist as an actual commercial success, Loveyapa needs a good sustaining run for the coming summer weeks.
Besides that, Loveyapa is competing against a fierce competitor in Badass Ravi Kumar with re-releases of works like Padmaavat, Sanam Teri Kasam, and Interstellar. Will it stand a chance to go through and make a mark?
