Loveyapa VS Badass Ravi Kumar: The Box Office war intensifies! Day 5 collections revealed

The much-hyped box office clash between Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravi Kumar and Junaid Khan-Khushi Kapoor’s Loveyapa seems to be a battle no one is winning. Both films are struggling to gain traction, with collections stalling at just ₹50 lakh each on Day 5. The slow performance has left industry experts wondering if either film can recover, or if it’s game over.

Box Office Decline Continues
Despite a midweek push, neither film has managed to gain momentum. As per early estimates by Sacnilk, Badass Ravi Kumar has reached a total domestic collection of ₹7.25 crore, while Loveyapa lags behind at ₹5.60 crore. The declining numbers indicate that audiences aren’t exactly rushing to theaters.

Himesh Reshammiya’s film has still fared better than his previous outings like Karzzzz, Happy Hardy and Heer, Kajraare, Radio, and Damadamm. On its opening day, Badass Ravi Kumar collected ₹2.75 crore, while Loveyapa started slower with ₹1.15 crore.

Film Details and Budget
Directed by Keith Gomes, Badass Ravi Kumar is an action-packed spin-off of the 2014 film The Xpose and features a star-studded cast including Prabhu Deva, Manish Wadhwa, Kirti Kulhari, Sanjay Mishra, Sunny Leone, and Saurabh Sachdeva. The film was made on a massive ₹21 crore budget but is struggling to break even.

Meanwhile, Loveyapa, directed by Advait Chandan, is a remake of the Tamil film Love Today. Featuring a quirky love story with a phone-swapping twist and Ashutosh Rana as a strict father, the film has failed to generate strong audience interest.

The Chhaava Challenge
The road ahead looks tough for both films, as Vicky Kaushal’s highly anticipated historical epic Chhaava is set to release soon. With Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and a grand production scale, Chhaava is expected to dominate the box office, further diminishing the chances of Badass Ravi Kumar and Loveyapa making a comeback.
