Daaku Maharaaj proves to be a Box Office smash! Already recovered over half of production costs

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s latest Sankranti release, Daaku Maharaaj, has had a strong start at the box office despite facing competition from Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam. While the arrival of the latter has slightly impacted Daaku Maharaaj’s run with screens and shows being divided, the film has still managed to perform well, maintaining a solid momentum through its first four days.

Directed by Bobby Kolli, the Tollywood action drama, which released on January 12, opened to mixed reviews from critics. However, it has struck a chord with Balayya’s loyal fan base, known for their love of his over-the-top action entertainers. The word-of-mouth for the film has been decent, contributing to its steady performance at the Indian box office.

Day 4: ₹8.96 crores (Kanuma holiday, though collections saw a 26.85% drop).

With a budget of approximately ₹100 crores, the film has already recovered 59.36% of its cost within four days. While the day 4 collection dropped below ₹10 crores, Daaku Maharaaj is firmly on track to become a profitable venture. Given the festive period and Balayya’s fan following, the film is expected to perform steadily over the next few days.

Despite competition from Sankranthiki Vasthunam and other Sankranti releases, Daaku Maharaaj has carved its space in the festive box office race, proving that Balayya’s charisma continues to draw audiences to the theaters. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how the film performs in the coming days, as it edges closer to the break-even mark.
