Robinhood flies high! Nithiin – Sreeleela starrer sess decent occupancy, collects ₹2 crore on Day 1

The Telugu action-romantic movie Robinhood, featuring Nithiin and Sreeleela, released on the silver screens on March 28, 2025, and made a decent beginning at the box office. The film created a lot of buzz with its glamorous promotions and peppy music, but the opening day collections were not big.

Box Office Performance on Day 1

Based on initial estimates, Robinhood collected approximately ₹2.00 crore net on its first day in India. The movie collected an overall Telugu occupancy of 21.56% on Day 1, which is good given the fact that it was a normal Friday with no public holiday. The performance of the movie started growing gradually during the day, especially during the night shows, which registered an increase in occupancy to 28.15%, which signals positive word-of-mouth among early viewers.

Regional Box Office Trends

The box office in the region was topped by Hyderabad, Telugu cinema’s stronghold, at a 29.75% occupancy. Bengaluru came in second at a 12.75%. The morning shows started with a 19.62% attendance, slowly climbing to 21.84% in the afternoons. The evening shows, though, dipped marginally to 16.62%, before recovering late at night, indicating that the film was catching up.

Mixed Reviews and Weekend Outlook

Robinhood received divisive to affirmative appraisals from the critics but has found the audience, particularly among youngsters, owing to its trendy styling and fine acting performances. Though the first-day amount of ₹2 crore isn’t record-smashing, it marks a strong ground for the weekend.

The next few days will be decisive for the box office run of the film. Everything will hinge on Saturday and Sunday visits to ascertain whether Robinhood has the potential to become a money-spinner. If word-of-mouth positive goes on improving, particularly in Tier-2 and Tier-3 areas, the film can see an improvement in collections.
