Actor Varun Dhawan today announced the arrival of baby girl, whom the couple has named Lara, who was born on June 3. During Kaun Banega Crorepati, he shared good news and said that this Diwali felt different, as they have “our own Goddess Lakshmi at home”.
When Amitabh Bachchan asked him about fatherhood, Varun confessed he’s still learning how to connect with his newborn daughter, sharing how life has already begun to feel different with her arrival. Bachchan reminisced his own parenting days and mentioned that a monitoring device did help him and Jaya stay alert during late nights with their young children.

Sharing news about their little daughter’s birth with an adorable animated video on social media, Varun Dhawan first updated with the cutest clip on his Instagram. In that video, Varun’s pet dog Joey holds up a board with “Welcome lil sis” written and the actor captions it as: “Our baby girl is here. Thank you for all the good wishes for the mama and the baby. Wishing everyone at home happiness, peace and good health. May they both have the best possible lives and love.” Varun concludes with a powerful spiritual chant.
Varun and Natasha, who tied the knot on January 24, 2021, have been together for a pretty long time before they married.
