Ahaan Panday’s Saiyaara Gets Trimmed! CBFC Axes 10 Seconds of Intimate Scenes

Mohit Suri is ready to unveil his latest romance drama, Saiyaara, marking the Bollywood debut of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The film, produced in collaboration with Yash Raj Films (YRF), is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 18 and has already created buzz with its chart-topping music and promising trailer.

CBFC Certification and Edits

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has awarded Saiyaara a U/A 16+ certificate after requesting several modifications. As per reports, four instances of “objectionable” language were edited with more suitable alternatives. A 10-second scene featuring sensual intimacy and body exposure was removed, and a helmet safety warning was mandated for scenes involving two-wheelers. After these changes, the film’s final runtime is 2 hours, 36 minutes, and 50 seconds.

Strong Advance Bookings and Box Office Potential

Saiyaara has generated significant interest, with advance ticket sales showing a strong and enthusiastic audience response. According to a Pinkvilla report, the film has already recovered 75% of its production cost. The remaining 25%—approximately Rs 15 crore—is expected to be recovered once the movie grosses Rs 37-40 crore globally. This positions Saiyaara for a potentially successful box office opening within the first few days.
