The much-anticipated Housefull 5 is already generating massive buzz online, thanks to its grand trailer launch event in Mumbai on Tuesday. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film promises to be a laugh riot filled with confusion, chaos, and a suspenseful twist—who is the real killer
Akshay Kumar Fuels Speculation
At the trailer release, Akshay Kumar had the crowd guessing by getting them involved in an interactive quiz. He asked people to try and guess who was wearing a sinister mask, hinting at the main theme of murder mystery in the movie. Playfully, he introduced his co-actor Chunky Panday, the much-loved character Aakhri Pasta, speculating whether he could be the killer.
A viral video from the event shows Chunky slowly removing his mask while Akshay quips, “Chunky Panday, kya lagta hai? ” He continued, “Main abhi bhi bata raha hun, baad mein aapse puchunga, ki asli killer kaun hai? Jisko sabse zyada votes milenge, wohi asli killer hoga” (I’m telling you now, I’ll ask again later, who is the real killer? The one who gets the most votes will be the real killer). Chunky later shared the clip on his Instagram stories, writing, “Multiple killers coming #Housefull5.”
Star-Studded Event and Surprise Revelations
The event saw the presence of several stars including Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, and many more. Also attending were producer Sajid Nadiadwala and comedy veterans like Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, and Ranjeet.
One of the most intriguing revelations came from Sajid Nadiadwala himself. The producer disclosed that Housefull 5 will have multiple endings, depending on the theatre. “Every theatre will have a different killer,” he explained. “If you watch it at Gaiety, you’ll see one ending. In PVR screen number 4, there will be a different killer. It’s a thriller designed to spark discussions even after the film ends.”
Set to Release on June 6
Offering a unique concept, ensemble cast, and unpredictable plot, Housefull 5 is all set to become a cinematic experience of its kind. Audiences can watch it out for laughter, twists, and suspense as the film is going to hit theaters on June 6.
