B’day buzz: Sonu Walia frames three Khans for her failure!

Sonu Walia, the sex-siren of the late ’80s, turns 50. Glamsham.Com wishes her birthday greetings.

Sonu Walia (who was cast in the same mould as glamour dolls Parveen Babi and Zeenat of the ’70s) had created a stir with her sensational performance in Rakesh Roshan’s movie KHOON BHARI MAANG. In a lighter mood, she framed the three Khans viz. Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan for her untimely exit from Bollywood.

You may wonder how? Well, according to Sonu Walia, it was her height (5′ 8) that created hurdles for her success in the film industry. In an recent interview she said, ”When I made my entry in Bollywood tall hunks like Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna, Dharmedra, Feroz Khan etc. were on verge of retirement and their place were taken over by the young Khans brigade, who incidentally were shorter than my height!”

It may be remembered that Sonu Walia was a winner of the ‘Miss India’ pageant in 1985 and even won the Filmfare ‘Best Supporting Actress’ Award in KHOON BHARI MAANG. Yet despite her talent and an exceptional figure she could not make it truly big in cinebiz.
