In a recent interview with a national news channel, Aamir Khan finally spoke out, calling the Pahalgam incident “ruthless and cowardly.” He said, “This attack was not only on the common people, but on the unity of our country. What does asking religion and then firing indicate? You or I could also have been there. This is the cowardice of the terrorists.”
Aamir emphasized that acts of violence targeting people based on their religion threaten the very fabric of India’s secular identity. His emotional statement resonated with many who had been awaiting a response from public figures with significant influence.
Delay in Response: “I Am Not on Social Media”
Addressing the criticism around his delayed reaction, Aamir clarified that he is not active on social media and hence couldn’t respond immediately. Additionally, he cancelled the planned screening of the classic Andaz Apna Apna out of respect for the victims.

Clearly shaken, Aamir confessed that he didn’t leave his house for several days after hearing about the attack. “This shook me to the core,” he said.
