On Saturday, March 29, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor embraced his daddy duties in the most entertaining way teaching his son, Zain Kapoor, how to ride a bicycle. The Padmaavat actor shared a funny video from their practice session, where an unexpected “helper” played a major role a towel!
In the video, Shahid is seen running alongside Zain, holding onto the towel to prevent his son from falling off the bike. Shahid’s caption added a humorous touch: “Teaching your son how to cycle with a towel. Any better suggestions on how this can be easier (sic).” The lighthearted clip quickly caught the attention of Shahid’s brother, Ishaan Khatter, who couldn’t resist chiming in with a hilarious comment: “Dial the chachu helpline.”
Shahid’s Hands-On Parenting Approach
Despite his busy schedule, Shahid Kapoor remains a hands-on father to his two children, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor. Speaking at the SCREEN Live event in Mumbai, Shahid candidly shared insights into his parenting style.
He revealed that his kids are the real bosses at home. “My son tries to dominate me. I think that is usually a dynamic of girls and boys. Boys are like aggressive and loud, ‘Papa this and that.’ But quietly my daughter has full control over me. Without saying anything, she has full control over me. Quietly she gets the job done and I think girls are far better in doing that. My daughter is my soft spot. She doesn’t even try that hard, but I’m always ready to do whatever she wants.”
Shahid’s approach to parenting focuses on understanding his children’s strengths and weaknesses. He believes in teaching them the basics of life while giving them the freedom to be their own individuals.
