Saif Ali Khan Discusses January House Burglar and His Family’s Response to the Incident
Actor Saif Ali Khan recently opened up on his terrifying ordeal with a burglar who entered his home on January 16, 2025. This is the same actor who is recognized for being extremely calm and composed even in the most trying times. But he showed exceptional courage when he encountered the burglar in the bedroom of his son Jeh Ali Khan.
A Heroic Night of Struggle and Strife
An intruder who came to the house with an intent to rob, was encountered by Saif and Jeh’s nanny. With much bravery in defense of his family, Saif fought with the man who, in a battle, managed to stab Saif six times and ran out with the money before he escaped. Recently, in an interview with Delhi Times, Saif shared the traumatic experience and explained how his son Taimur played a crucial role in getting him to the hospital after the attack. He also shared that the incident took place in Jeh’s room, and his youngest son witnessed parts of the altercation. Children’s Emotional Responses.

Saif revealed that despite the traumatic event, his children are doing well
Jeh, in his innocent manner, even presented Saif with a plastic sword, saying, “Keep this by your bed for the next time the chor comes.” He added, “Geeta saved Abba and Abba saved me.” Taimur, on the other hand, is more concerned about the security of the family. Saif said his elder children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, have been extremely upset by this. Sara, especially, is really emotional about the whole incident. He mentioned that it brought them closer despite the shock.
Accused Arrested
The intruder, Shariful Islam, a Bangladeshi national, was arrested by the Mumbai Police after a few days of investigation. His fingerprints matched those found at the crime scene, and he confessed to the attack. Saif’s nanny also identified the attacker, bringing the case to a close.
