In the poster, Alia appears rugged, wearing dark pants and a soiled shirt paired with a survival vest. She holds a hammer and tools, looking surprised as she stares into the distance. Her caption read, “Kahaani bahut lambi hai aur bhai ke paas waqt bahut bahut kam,” alluding to the film’s theme of sibling love.

Jigra, produced by Dharma Productions and Alia’s Eternal Sunshine Productions, tells the story of a sister’s unbreakable love and willingness to do anything to protect her brother. Directed by Vasan Bala, known for his work on Monica, O My Darling and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, the film marks his first collaboration with Alia Bhatt. It also stars Vedang Raina, of The Archies fame, in his second film.
Initially set for a September 27, 2024 release, Jigra was rescheduled to October 11, 2024, to avoid clashing with Jr NTR’s Devara: Part 1. With this lineup, Jigra is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of 2024, promising gripping performances and a heartfelt story.
