John Abraham: SHOOTOUT AT WADALA is my VAASTAV


Bollywood hunk John Abraham, who will be next seen on the big screen in Sanjay Gupta’s much touted film SHOOTOUT AT WADALA, says that it will be his career defining film.

At a recent event John addressed the media saying, ”When people ask me what is this film for you, I keep saying that this film is my VAASTAV. It’s a career defining film and it’s something that I have taken very seriously.”

Sequel to 2007 film SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Kangna Ranaut, Tusshar Kapoor and Sonu Sood.

The film will dramatise the first-ever registered encounter by Mumbai police, where gangster Manya Surve was shot dead in 1982. Further describing his character John says, ”I play a character of Manya Surve a.k.a Manohar Surve. He ruled Mumbai from 1979 to 1982.”

Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film is slated to release on December 7, 2012.
