Kangana Ranaut criticises the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024 says, “Everything was about being homosexual”

Kangana Ranaut has openly criticized the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024, expressing her disapproval of what she described as a “blasphemous rendition of The Last Supper.” She took to her Instagram Stories on Saturday to share several pictures and videos from the event, alongside her critical commentary.

In one of her posts, Kangana shared a video clip from the ceremony, writing, “The Paris Olympics is under fire for including a child in their hyper-sexualized, blasphemous rendition of The Last Supper. An apparent child could be seen joining the drag queens during the performance. They also showed a naked man painted blue as Jesus and mocked Christianity. Leftists totally hijacked Olympics 2024. Shame.”

She also posted a photo of a man painted blue, adding, “Naked body painted Christ at the Olympics opening in Paris (person facepalming emoji).” Another picture prompted her to comment, “This is how France welcomed the world for 2024 Olympics …. And what is the message of such acts ?? Welcome to the world of Satan?? Is this what they want to show??”

In a collage she shared, Kangana critiqued the event’s focus on sexuality, stating, “At the Olympics opening everything was about being homosexual, I am not against homosexuality but this is beyond me how Olympics is related to any sexuality?? Why games, sports participation of all nations to claim human excellence being taken over by sex?? Why can’t sex stay in our bedrooms?? Why it has to be a national identity? This is bizarre!!”

The Paris Olympics 2024 ceremony faced criticism from various quarters for the drag performance involving children and the reimagining of The Last Supper. One commenter expressed, “Turned you off. Disgusting, evil…to 2.4 billion Christians around the world that you apparently don’t care about! #LastSupper depiction of Jesus, the Christ-God’s Son, and His disciples.” Another noted, “Bad taste! This is not even artistic, offends millions of Christians and Da Vinci fans. Not appropriate for an Olympic opening ceremony in Paris.”

On a different note, the ceremony also featured a poignant moment as singer Celine Dion made an emotional return to the stage despite her struggles with stiff person syndrome. She delivered a heartfelt performance of Edith Piaf’s “Hymne A L’Amour” at the base of the Eiffel Tower, following acts by Lady Gaga and other European singers, closing the ceremony with a memorable and moving performance.
