Katrina Kaif is certainly on cloud nine by not only having Deepika Padukone’s ex Ranbir Kapoor as her current boyfriend but also trailing ahead in terms of Box-office status. Deepika may have had a rocking 2013 with four back-to-back successes like RACE 2, YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWAANI, CHENNAI EXPRESS and GOLIYON KI RAASLEELA RAM-LEELA, with each of them doing 100 crore and plus business but it is Katrina who is leading while it comes to box-office figures, as we sum-up their respective journey in Bollywood.

Though Katrina stepped in the film industry way before Deepika, she gained stardom in the year when Deepika forayed in Bollywood. Katrina’s first major hit was NAMASTEY LONDON, while Deepika’s debut film was OM SHANTI OM, a blockbuster, both being in the year 2007. From that time on, if we compare the two reigning actresses, the amassed collection of Katrina’s films sum up to 1309 cr (approx), while Deepika’s films have contributed around 1150 cr, which pretty proves their respective stand.
Having said that, the fact cannot be denied that Deepika has emerged as a powerhouse of a performer, while Katrina is still relishing the eye-candy prominence in most of her films, the recent example being DHOOM 3.
While we do believe Deepika would surpass Katrina in coming days and dethrone her ‘Box-office’ queen status, we are waiting to see Katrina Kaif beyond being a visual treat in the film!
