After a brief hiatus, Salman Khan is back with a bang in his highly anticipated film Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. The trailer, released recently, delivers everything fans expect from a Bhai film action, drama, and a larger-than-life performance. In the three-minute, 37-second trailer, Salman Khan stars as Sanjay Rajkot, a man with a criminal background, but with a deeper, more honorable purpose behind his actions. His character is introduced with a wanted poster, which highlights his 49 cases in five years, but as the trailer unfolds, it becomes clear that Sanjay is not your typical criminal.

Sikandar is a political action thriller that explores themes of fate, power, and justice. Sanjay Rajkot’s journey takes him to Mumbai, where he struggles but ultimately regains control over his life and circumstances. The film’s gripping trailer also features a powerful dialogue by Salman, which draws a parallel to his own real-life situation: “Bahut neta jail gaye hain, abhineta bhi,” he says, setting the tone for the movie. His character further declares, “I have enough popularity that, if not as PM or CM, I could at least become an MLA or MP,” adding another layer of intrigue to his role.

Star Cast and Crew

Salman Khan’s Sikandar marks his return to a lead role after 16 months, following Tiger 3 (2023). In this film, he is joined by Rashmika Mandanna, who plays Saisri, and Sathyaraj, who portrays Minister Pradhan. Rashmika’s involvement in the film has added to the excitement, as she is currently riding high on the success of Animal (2023), Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024), and Chhaava (2025). The film’s cinematography is handled by S Thirunavukarasu, with editing by Vivek Harshan, and music composed by Pritam.

Release Date and Festive Buzz

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Sikandar is scheduled for release on March 30, 2025, coinciding with the festive occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Fans can expect a high-octane political thriller that will keep them on the edge of their seats.
