Rajat Kapoor who has been known for making meaningful small budget films says that no star has agreed to do a film with him so far. ”I had approached Shahrukh Khan earlier but he refused saying that the script doesn’t work for him,” informs Rajat.

However the actor says that of late actors like Paresh Rawal and Irrfan Khan have shown an interest working with him. ”We make small budget films but we have a very strong team. I have worked with Rafi Mahmood for last 20 years and sound recordist Resul Pookutty has done all my films. I am quite happy where I am. I want to work according to my beliefs. I am not interested to come out of it. Sure I would love to work with bigger stars but they are not interested in me. I refuse big films because of roles. It’s not that I am not getting roles but they are not interesting and I rejected them and I have no regrets. I desire to makes films for 40 years. That’s my goal,” adds the actor.
