Just a day remains for the release of RAAZ 3 and suspense would finally be unveiled when it comes to the actual content of the film. While the core plotline of the Emraan Hashmi starrer has been pretty much up for grabs through the promos itself, one thing that cannot be missed is the fact that just like PHOONK, even RAAZ 3 deals with black magic.

Comments an observer, “Unlike many other horror elements like wandering souls or a spirit possessing a human body, black magic isn’t something that has been explored in many Bollywood films. When Ram Gopal Varma brought that angle in PHOONK, the film turned into a huge success. Now with the promos clearly indicating that Bipasha Basu is practicing black magic to get rid of Esha Gupta, it has to be seen how much of similarities are there in the offering when compared to PHOONK.”

While the film indeed seems like a scare fest in the offering with black magic as the central element, wasn’t Vikram conscious of the fact that he had to make RAAZ 3 indeed look different from Ramu’s version?
“I have seen PHOONK and know that it was based on something real where a woman wanted to take revenge after her husband was insulted. The only similarity in RAAZ 3 is that our film too is based on the real emotion of an actress (Bipasha Basu) whose career is going down and she wants to hang on to it. Yes, this is where black magic comes in and forms an important part of the film as well. However, at the end of it all, RAAZ 3 is less about horror and more about human drama. It is most definitely not PHOONK 2.”
Well, this should set the records straight. RAAZ 3 releases all over this Friday.
