Jeff Goldblum delivered a moving tribute to the entertainment industry’s late veterans at the BAFTA Awards, held at South Bank Center’s Royal Festival Hall in London. The actor-musician performed during the In Memoriam segment, playing the piano while singing As Time Goes By. The classic song, composed by Herman Hupfeld in 1931, gained widespread recognition after featuring in the 1942 film Casablanca.

As Goldblum performed, a reel displaying the names and pictures of the departed celebrities played in the background. The tribute concluded with images of two legendary figures: Blue Velvet director David Lynch and Harry Potter actress Maggie Smith.
