Kevin Jonas underwent a surgery to remove a malignant mole diagnosed as skin cancer

Kevin Jonas, the well-known musician and member of The Jonas Brothers, recently revealed that he was hospitalized and underwent surgery for a malignant mole diagnosed as skin cancer. He shared his experience through a heartfelt video on his personal and The Jonas Brothers’ Instagram accounts.

In the video posted on June 11, Kevin disclosed that he had a basal cell carcinoma removed from his head. The video starts with him explaining the situation and showing the mole near his hairline. He emphasized the importance of regular health check-ups, particularly for moles and skin abnormalities, urging his followers to “get your moles checked.”

Post-surgery, Kevin shared an update with gauze tape on his forehead, covering the surgery scar.

According to the Mayo Clinic, basal cell carcinoma starts in the basal cells, which are responsible for producing new skin cells as old ones die . Kevin discovered a malignant mole near his hairline, which led to this diagnosis and subsequent treatment through surgery.

Currently, The Jonas Brothers are on a break from touring, with their last performance having taken place on April 30 in Cancun, Mexico​.
