Controversy erupts! Kashish Kapoor defends Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina- But is she right?

Famous podcaster and YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, who is also famous by his other name BeerBiceps, has found himself embroiled in controversy after making an appearance on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent. In the episode, he directed a shocking question to a male contestant regarding “sex with parents,” which not only left everyone in the audience speechless but also his fellow panelists stunned.

His comment resulted in universal condemnation from celebrities, politicians, and the public. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, actor Manoj Bajpayee, and former Bigg Boss contestant Rajiv Adatia were among the several people who damned him. FIRs were filed against him, and the All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) even demanded his show to be banned.

Mixed Reactions and Support from Celebrities
Even amid outrage, some have stood up for Ranveer, saying his comment may be out of line but does not call for legal action.

Actress and social media influencer Uorfi Javed previously defended him, and now influencer Kashish Kapoor has weighed in as well. She shared her opinion about the scandal in a viral video, saying that although the joke was tasteless, it was not an offense. She stressed that there are indeed such strange questions on the web and that since India is a more conservative society, content producers need to exercise care.

Criticism vs. Blatant Hate
Kashish Kapoor admitted that criticism is warranted but asked how much it has gotten out of hand. She likened the furor to the outrage over Hardik Pandya’s remarks on *Koffee With Karan* and highlighted the hypocrisy of people abusing panelist Apoorva for what she said while at the same time denouncing the show. She emphasized that while the criticism is warranted, making it a national issue or lodging FIRs is over the top.

Larger Issues to Deal With?
The controversy rages on as to whether this scandal warrants such a massive response. Most people feel that India has much larger issues to deal with than an offensive joke on a television show.

I somehow strongly agree with this. No outrage on more important issues by the media?
