Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler):
Wolfhard shared a touching Instagram post with a collage of cast images, including a snapshot from Season 1. The young Wolfhard thought, at that moment, he was just hanging around with a “bunch of goofy young people” who never expected the show would turn into this absolute success:
Stranger Things is finished. I’m still kind of in shock. We did it for a year, and I’m really gonna miss my friends and our characters a lot.
The star of Ghostbusters: Afterlife expresses gratitude for friendships that will last a lifetime, having joined the show at 13, and hopes fair. That the final season is embraced with the same love he experienced previously.
Noah Schnapp (Will Byers):
Schnapp poured his heart out in a parting note where he recalled the life lessons he learned from this journey spanning a decade. With Stranger Things being a “lifelong dream,” he thanked the Duffer Brothers and his co-stars for being such an integral part of his journey:
I always felt like I was the outcast growing up. I never knew where I fit in. Stranger Things taught me what life was like and what a career looked like, and navigating the public eye was tough, but it was made a little easier with my massively talented co-stars.
He also expressed his gratefulness separately to cast members like Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, and Gate. Matarazzo, and shared a personal moment when he shot his last scene as Will Byers.
