Amitabh Bachchan as Sathyadev in Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan

All seven key characters from TJ Gnanavel’s highly anticipated film Vettaiyan, starring Rajinikanth, have been revealed. The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, and more.

Amitabh Bachchan, making his Telugu debut, plays a character named Sathyadev. In a behind-the-scenes video shared by Lyca Productions, Amitabh is seen on set with Rajinikanth, and his character was described as the “powerhouse” of the film. Rajinikanth praised Amitabh on social media earlier this year, calling it an honor to work with him again after 33 years since their last collaboration in Hum.

In Vettaiyan, other characters introduced include:- Ritika Singh as Roopa, a cop, Dushara Vijayan as Saranya, a teacher, Manju Warrier as Thara, the love interest, Rana Daggubati as Natraj, Fahadh Faasil as Patrick.

While much about Rana, Manju, and Fahadh’s roles remains under wraps, a recently released song titled *Manasilaaayo* showcased Manju Warrier’s impressive dance moves. Rajinikanth’s character name remains a mystery, further adding to the film’s intrigue.

Vettaiyan marks Rajinikanth’s 170th film, and was shot across several locations including Thiruvananthapuram, Tirunelveli, Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. With Anirudh Ravichander composing the music, SR Kathir handling cinematography, and Philomin Raj in charge of editing, the film is set for a grand release on October 10 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada, coinciding with the Dasara festival.
