Epic Saga Begins! Vijay Deverakonda Reveals First Look from VD14

On the occasion of his 36th birthday, Vijay Deverakonda surprised fans by revealing the first look poster of his much-anticipated film, tentatively titled VD14. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film is set in the 19th century, between 1854 and 1878, during the British colonial era. This project also marks Deverakonda’s second collaboration with Sankrityan after their previous hit Taxiwaala.

The first look poster, shared by the actor on his Instagram stories and by Mythri Movie Makers on X (formerly Twitter), gives a powerful glimpse into the film’s tone. The caption on the post read, “The GODS gave him STRENGTH. War gave him a PURPOSE. Team #VD14 wishes @TheDeverakonda a very Happy Birthday.” The poster shows Deverakonda in a meditative pose inside an ancient temple.

With his back facing the camera, his long hair, chiselled physique, and visible scars set the tone for a gritty and intense role. A radiant mural of a sage adds a spiritual layer to the visual. Fans were quick to respond with excitement, flooding social media with praise for the striking design and Deverakonda’s transformation.
