Actor and television star Karan Kundrra has expressed strong support for the Indian Armed Forces following Pakistan’s attempted attack on several Indian cities, including his hometown Jalandhar in Punjab. Taking to social media in the early hours of May 9, Karan praised the military’s swift response and paid tribute to the fallen heroes of the Pahalgam terror attack.
“We Stand with India,” Says Karan
On X (formerly Twitter), Karan Kundrra posted: “Hometown (Jalandhar) seeing some fireworks but we’re stronger than that… we all stand with the Indian Army… we stand with the martyrs of #PahalgamTerroristAttack. We stand with India! We Stand with Justice.” His message quickly gained attention, with fans and fellow celebrities applauding his patriotism and solidarity during a time of national tension.

Widespread Attacks Foiled by Indian Forces
On Thursday evening, Pakistan launched a coordinated attack using drones, missiles, and artillery fire, targeting Jammu initially and then extending strikes to Kupwara, Rajouri, Baramulla (J&K), Pathankot (Punjab), and parts of Rajasthan including Jaisalmer and Ganganagar. India responded swiftly, activating its air defence systems and successfully intercepting several aerial threats.

Border States Under Blackout and High Alert
According to the Defence Ministry, Pakistan aimed to strike critical locations such as Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Ludhiana, and Bhuj. In response, a precautionary blackout was implemented across bordering cities in Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh. Chandigarh, too, was placed on high alert, with air raid sirens sounding on Friday morning. Authorities advised residents to stay indoors and avoid open areas like balconies.
