Comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui’s son, Mikael, has been hospitalised due to a viral infection. His partner, makeup artist Mehzabeen Coatwala, confirmed the news on Instagram, urging parents to remain vigilant amid the rise in seasonal illnesses. Sharing a touching photo with Mikael, she wrote, “To all parents, with the viral infections going around, let’s be extra cautious. Watch your children’s cleanliness and be careful! Feel better soon my baby boy.”

A Blended Family Built with Love
Munawar and Mehzabeen, who are a blended family now, have been candid about their emotional experience as parents. On Farah Khan’s YouTube channel, Munawar was candid while speaking about how he made the emotional choice to have Mikael in his life permanently. “When he was leaving, I felt like he needed me, and more than him, I think I needed him. For him, I took that decision,” he revealed.

Mehzabeen, also with a 10-year-old daughter from a previous marriage, was going through similar feelings. Munawar described how he asked her, “Are you okay marrying me?” The couple’s mutual respect and commitment have been widely complimented, including by Farah Khan, for accepting the joys and challenges of a mixed family.

New Role on Television
Professionally, Munawar continues to rise. He’s set to co-host Pati Patni Aur Panga on Colors TV alongside veteran actress Sonali Bendre. Speaking about the project, Munawar said, “I’m really excited to be working with Sonali ma’am. Together, we’re here to explore the real, relatable side of relationships with a bit of fun along the way.”
