Rajat Dalal, who was a finalist on the show, recently stirred controversy with his comments during a podcast appearance on Elvish Yadav’s Phodcast.
During the episode, Rajat roasted his fellow contestants, Vivian Dsena and Eisha Singh. His remarks about Vivian’s appearance, claiming he looked like a “driver’s boy” and that he was receiving offers from Hollywood, were met with backlash. Rajat also made a distasteful comment about Eisha, saying that men marry women like her to avoid hiring a maid, as they would expect them to do the dishes. These comments did not sit well with Bigg Boss 18 fans, many of whom expressed their anger online.
When paps approached Rajat for a comment on the controversy, he defended his remarks by saying, “Aarti toh nahi karenge na. Roast toh roast hai na,” implying that it was all in the spirit of comedy. When asked about his comment on Eisha, whom he had referred to as his sister, Rajat reiterated that it was just a roast.
The public’s response was overwhelmingly critical, with many calling out Rajat for crossing a line. As for the Bigg Boss 18 finale, Karan Veer Mehra emerged as the winner, with Vivian Dsena securing the first runner-up position. Rajat Dalal took the second runner-up spot. Meanwhile, Elvish Yadav, who won Bigg Boss OTT 2, had publicly questioned the channel’s decision regarding the finale’s results.
It seems Rajat’s roast has sparked more heat than he expected, leaving fans to debate whether some things are better left unsaid.
