It was expected that Karan Johar’s Sidharth Malhotra, Adah Sharma and Parineeti Chopra starrer, HASEE TOH PHASEE, would emulate and follow the success curve of Yash Raj Films’ SHUDDH DESI ROMANCE, but it did not quite happen that way.

While SHUDDH DESI ROMANCE had netted 24-25 crore during the opening weekend, HASEE TOH PHASEE has 18 crore to show during the same period. The film is maintaining reasonably during the weekdays at multiplexes of big cities, and an open second week would have augured well for HASEE TOH PHASEE.

However, the hype and anticipation that Yash Raj Films’ Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor starrer is carrying is likely to hit the performance of HASEE TOH PHASEE in the second week that is 14th February onwards when GUNDAY releases all over.
Well, one does feel for HASEE TOH PHASEE as it has seen a lot of positive feedback from the audience, but with so many films slated for release nowadays, open weeks are slowly becoming a rarity in Bollywood.
