YOU WON’T BELIEVE Aamir Khan and Aishwarya Rai’s Chemistry! Watch Their Unseen Dance Video to Shah Rukh Khan’s Iconic DDLJ Song

An old video of Bollywood icons Aamir Khan and Aishwarya Rai dancing to the evergreen romantic track ‘Tujhe Dekha Toh’ from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge has recently gone viral, sending fans into a nostalgic frenzy. The throwback clip, which surfaced on social media, showcases the duo performing to the iconic Shah Rukh Khan Kajol song, sparking curiosity and admiration among netizens.

Rare Collaboration in a Throwback Clip

In the viral video, Aishwarya Rai dazzles in a graceful pink lehenga while Aamir Khan sports a leather jacket reminiscent of Shah Rukh Khan’s look from the original 1995 film. The two are seen sharing delightful chemistry on stage, dancing effortlessly to the romantic tune. Despite never having acted together in a film, their brief stage performance has reignited fan interest in what could have been a memorable on-screen pairing.

Missed Opportunities on the Big Screen

Over the years, there were several instances where Aamir and Aishwarya almost worked together. Director Dharmesh Darshan once revealed that Aishwarya was his first choice for the role of Memsaab in Raja Hindustani (1996), opposite Aamir. However, her commitments to the Miss World pageant forced her to step away. “It was her sheer grace that she didn’t hold it in her heart,” Darshan recalled in an interview.

Director Mansoor Khan also spoke of his original plan to cast Aamir opposite Aishwarya in Josh (2000). Aamir, however, misunderstood the script and thought he was being offered the role of Max, a part that eventually went to Shah Rukh Khan. The mix-up resulted in yet another missed opportunity for the Aamir-Aishwarya pairing.

Current Projects of the Superstars

While fans continue to celebrate the resurfaced video, both actors remain busy with their respective careers. Aamir Khan is currently gearing up for his next big release, Sitaare Zameen Par, set to hit theatres on June 20, 2025. The film also stars Genelia Deshmukh in a pivotal role.

Aishwarya Rai, on the other hand, recently earned praise for her performances in Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan: I (2022) and Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023). The films, based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s historical novel, marked her return to Tamil cinema in grand style. Fans may never have seen them together on the silver screen, but this viral clip has given a sweet taste of what could have been.
