Vishnu Manchu’s long-awaited mythological saga Kannappa will release on June 27, and the excitement for the movie is building. In an exclusive interview with Vishnu, the producer revealed significant information on the movie, such as its extended runtime, star cameos, and music releases.
Prabhas’ 30-Minute Extended Cameo
Confirming the much-speculated arrival, Vishnu stated that Prabhas features in a celestial guide who guides Kannappa—a convert from atheism to devotion—on his path. Although the movie was edited with great care, Prabhas maintains a substantial 30 minutes of screen time, featuring alongside Vishnu Manchu and veteran Mohan Babu.
Cameos by Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal
Joining the cast, Malayalam megastar Mohanlal provides a 15-minute cameo which is said to bring emotional depth. Bollywood legends Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal too have special cameos, looking to take the film’s appeal across geographies and highlight its pan-Indian vision.
3 Hours and 10 Minutes of Mythological Grandeur
Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa is 3 hours and 10 minutes long. 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment produced the movie featuring Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, and Preity Mukhundhan alongside Vishnu who plays the lead role.
New Devotional Track by Manchu Sisters
On the music side, the second devotional song, Sri-Kala-Hasti, is releasing on May 28. Rendered by Vishnu’s daughters Ariaana and Viviana Manchu, and composed by Stephen Devassy, the song guarantees to resonate spiritually with listeners.
Prabhas’ Next: The Raja Saab
Prabhas, on the other hand, will soon feature in The Raja Saab, a romantic comedy horror Telugu film directed by Maruthi. Prabhas will be seen portraying two different roles, and the teaser is likely to release by end of May, further exhilarating fans.
