Ali Zafar, who is just trying to make his way into Bollywood, can be credited for one thing at the least. He has shown immense confidence in his directors so far, each of whom has been a first timer. Whether it was Abhishek Sharma, Ali Abbas Zafar and now Anu Menon, each of them has made their debuts with Ali in the lead. The fact that their names begin with ‘A’ could well be just another coincidence.

“Full credit to Anu for making her first film with such seamless ease”, Ali gets into an appreciation mode here, “She is an NRI who has studied filmmaking in London Film School. Her way of looking at things was quite different and there is a freshness that she has managed to get into the script and dialogue.”
He also doesn’t forget to add that Anu being a woman made a difference in her approach towards story telling as well.

“Yes, this is true”, he says, “She is very different from Ali and Abhishek. Also, she didn’t hesitate to learn about a lot of things while doing the film. She was very clear about the kind of film she was making and the language she wanted to narrate. She didn’t want to bring on those typical dialogues and scenes that had been done to death before. Thankfully all of us had the same thought process and were on the same page. That helped making LONDON PARIS NEW YORK the kind of film that it has turned out to be.”
Produced by Goldie Behl and Shrishti Arya and directed by debutant Anu Menon, LONDON PARIS NEW YORK releases all over this Friday.
