‘Just discharged from hospital and am back home in familiar surroundings, gently taking in all that now engulfs me. The surgery discomfort and soreness persists, but will take a while to finally erase itself from the pain glands, but in all, apart from a sluggish movement, Gods grace and prayers of the Ef have put me back on track again. My most gracious thanks to all,’ he wrote on his blog around midnight.

The veteran actor underwent a successful surgery on February 11. He was suffering from acute pain after surgery and that delayed his release from the hospital. Earlier, in another of his blog posts he called all his health problems ‘a legacy of the past, in particular, the accident of 1982 during ‘Coolie’, adding that the ‘subsequent disturbances have all and shall emanate from it’.
He was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver in 2002 and later in 2005 he was treated for perforated diverticula-holes in the wall of the intestine. And again in 2008, the actor suffered problems in stomach due to incisional hernia.
