Farhan Akhtar is not of the lot who will do anything to promote his film. The no-nonsense filmmaker is clear about what he wants and just won't unduly take advantage to make noise, as is the norm in Bollywood. Since he wanted to be true to the fukrapan or the genre of his upcoming film FUKREY, Farhan didn't mind chopping the steamy French kiss scene.
The elaborate kiss between FUKREY lead actors Pulkit Samrat and Priya Anand had been shot and was extremely hot and steamy. In fact it had shaped up so well that there was a massive debate creatively whether we should keep it in final edit or remove it.
However, when Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani saw the film they felt that the fukraness of the film shouldn't get diluted at all, attention shouldn't shift and after watching the final edit they decided to get it removed.
FUKREY as a film salutes the spirit of Fukraness in people. And it's a story of four guys who are struggling to get into college and have girlfriends.
The spokesperson of the film says creatively everyone felt that the kiss wasn't required in the flow of the script. In fact the story of four boys has really shaped up very well.
