It seems like there are quite a few films with the world of glamour as the central element which are releasing in quick succession. Also, each of these films has an on-screen heroine as the lead protagonist. This can be seen with RAAZ 3 [Bipasha Basu], HEROINE [Kareena Kapoor] and COVER STORY [Sheena Nayar]. While RAAZ 3 has already hit the screens, HEROINE arrives on 21st September 2012 and COVER STORY too releases soon.

Meanwhile Jackie Shroff, who is returning to being a main lead in a film after years with COVER STORY-THE ULTIMATE INTERVIEW, clarifies that it is not exactly about an expose on the film industry.

‘No, not at all,’he says, ”It is more about getting into the life of an actress with deeper secrets being revealed about her.” He also goes on to add that something like ‘casting couch’ would be too trivial a matter to be given importance and spoken about all over again in the film.
”Casting couch is not an issue that we are dealing with in COVER STORY. This has been talked about a lot in many other films but we are not entering that zone which has already been explored before. We are telling the life of this heroine in her own words. That’s the crux of the matter. Just to pick on casting couch would have been way too trivial,” says Shroff.
One wonders though whether this very ‘trivial’ matter finds much more prominence in Kareena’s HEROINE.
