Director Shoojit Sircar, the man behind last year’s superhit VICKY DONOR, is ready with his next. MADRAS CAFE, a political thriller starring John Abraham and Nargis Fakhri among others, is now complete and is set to release on 30th August, 2013.The film is co-produced by his production house Rising Sun Films.

The film will also see the coming together of Shoojit and music director Shantanu Moitra seven years after YAHAAN. Says Shantanu: “It’s been a long journey. I gave Shoojit his first music video for my album “Mann Ke Manjeere’ and then I scored his first film YAHAAN. So, MADRAS CAFE is like visiting an old friend, who is also the finest musical brain a director can have!”

Shoojit is equally emphatic to make music with Shantanu again. Shoojit said ” Shantanu and me go back a long way, since our college days in Delhi…working with him is like a party or bong adda u can say…MADRAS CAFE is a serious film and we have already started jamming…the background score will be an integral part of this film.. really excited to team up again….”
