Kim Kardashian West is one of the most controversial actresses in Hollywood. Kim is an American media personality, businesswoman, socialite, model, and actress recently went ahead on her social media and announced her new venture – Kimono. She captioned it as, “Finally I can share with you guys this project that I have been developing for the last year. I’ve been passionate about this for 15 years. Kimono is my take on shapewear and solutions for women that actually work. Photos by Vanessa Beecroft.”
As per Cambridge dictionary, Kimono is a long, loose traditional Japanese robe with wide sleeves, tied with a sash. It is a garment similar to a kimono worn elsewhere as a dressing gown.

In the pictures, we see Kim posing in her own fashion brand’s skin color outfit with no makeup and her hair was tied in a tight ponytail. She was also seen posing with the model for the photo shoot of her brand.
Since controversy and Kim’s movement go hand-in-hand, Kim yet another time faces criticism over the net. The netizens started commenting negatively on her fashion label. People wrote why’s it called kimono if that’s a completely different style of clothing. I get that you’re incorporating your name but kimono is the name of a traditional (and cultural) Japanese robe, I feel very sad that the name “Kimono” is being used to something completely different from what we Japanese know about it. Kimono is Japanese traditional clothes and we are very proud of its history and culture. I’m sorry but I feel this name choice is simply ignorant. #KimOhNo and much more.
