CHASHME BADDOOR fame actress Taapsee Pannu plays an Amritsar Sardarni by the name ‘Vimmi’ in upcoming film RUNNING SHAADI.COM, who’s a spitfire, doesn’t think before saying anything. Though it may sound a bit similar to ‘Geet’ from JAB WE MET, Taapsee says that she plays a very raw Punjabi in the film.

According to Taapsee, her character ‘Vimmi’ is wilder than ‘Geet’. ”There are lots of Punjabi flavours and Geet captured or touched upon one of them,” saying this Taapsee adds, ”My character ‘Vimmi’ is wilder than ‘Geet’ from JAB WE MET. While Geet eventually settled without further ado, Vimmi is totally mad. She goes wilder and you can’t deal with her easily. Vimmi is a raw Punjabi and she’s got funk and attitude.”
Ask Taapsee if she is ready for all the comparisons that will be made with that of Kareena’s character and she says, ”I am ready for all the comparisons. I know people will do that.”

Also starring Amit Sadh, Directed and produced by Shoojit Sircar, Running Shaadi.com is a youth romantic comedy centered around the website that helps people elope and get married. It’s an unconventional romantic film.
Meanwhile, Taapsee’s entire focus is on her forthcoming release BABY that also stars Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Rana Daggubatti, Sushant Singh, Kay Kay Menon, Danny Denzongpa, Madhurima Tuli and others. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, BABY is all set to release on January 23, 2015.
