Barring a dated RUSH, which got him more acknowledgment as a friend and an associate than an actor who had featured in the film, Emraan Hashmi hasn't seen a dip in his career for long.
In fact with a series of huge successes behind him, he has established a place for himself in the list of Top-10 saleable actors that the industry has today.
While enjoying his well-deserved place under the sun, Emraan is feeling secure like never before. So much so that despite being a superstar in his own right, he is okay with the title of his next film EK THI DAAYAN, being female-centric, though the film isn't.
'Yeh sab chhoti baatein hain. These kind of things come to your mind if you don't have that level of confidence in yourself and in the product,' he says. 'Yes, some actors give it primary importance. It is not rarity in fact and is common for actors to think this way. However I am not like that.'
Emraan goes on to narrate a few examples.
He says, 'I have played characters and have done roles which have been both performance and star-driven. Remember THE DIRTY PICTURE? Also, don't forget that I started my career (FOOTPATH) with a supporting role.'
Well, that was close to a decade ago. However now that Emraan is being seen as the chief protagonist who is driving this show called EK THI DAAYAN, we look forward to the outcome on 18th April 2013.
