BOL BACHCHAN has managed a good start for itself with good collections being garnered over its opening weekend. While this ends a rough patch for Abhishek Bachchan who is now tasting a success after a really long time, it is also a matter of celebration for the entire Bachchan family which hadn’t really seen a Bollywood box office success for a long time.

“Abhishek’s last success was PAA and films like GAME, KHELEIN HUM JEE JAAN SEY, RAAVAN and DUM MAARO DUM were commercial disappointments. Aishwarya too has been waiting for a box office success with Rajnikanth starrer Tamil film ENDHIRAN being her only quintessential blockbuster. Otherwise her Bollywood stint has been rather patchy off late with GUZAARISH, ACTION REPLAYY and RAAVAN not really doing too well. Ditto for Big B whose last decent success was PAA with DEPARTMENT, AARAKSHAN, BBUDDAH HOGA TERRA BAAP, TEEN PATTI and RANN not really setting the box office on fire,” says an industry source.

Now one waits to see if Abhishek enters the 100 crore club with BOL BACHCHAN since competition arrives pretty soon with COCKTAIL releasing this weekend.
“Do you think he would really mind if the film does 90, 100 or 110 crores,” says a close associate in an amused tone, “At this stage of his career, he would be content with the fact that he has a bona fide hit under his belt. That should be good enough.”
Well, we too guess the same.
