A while back, there were reports that television & Bollywood actor Ram Kapoor got angry on the media at a press conference of his show ‘Dil Ki Baatein Dil Hi Jaane’.

When asked about the controversy, he said, “On the television sets, it has somewhere become a kind of norm where the media comes every once in a while and records you while you are working. I find all this very weird because I think there is time for media and there is time for work. When you are working, that time media shouldn’t be there because that is a work in progress. In films that never happen, it is very correct. But television media has become very used to coming on the sets. So when a Ram Kapoor says, ‘sorry, you’re not allowed on my sets’, they feel bad.”

He further adds, “Now, the people who I consider the most amazing actors, whether it is Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, in Bollywood- Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah, these are people who I idolize. If somebody asks me who are the best actors in Bollywood I’ll say Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah. These people don’t entertain the media at all. They don’t even promote their own films; they just work and leave it. I know I can’t be that extreme, I’m not as big as they are. I will do whatever is necessary, visit the media when it is time to cater to the media, but that doesn’t mean you can come into my work space and shove your camera in my face while I am working. They have gotten so used to this that when I say this, they take it badly, that’s their problem.”
Ram was last seen in the Bollywood film KUCH KUCH LOCHA HAI which also starred Sunny Leone, Evelyn Sharma, Navdeep Chhabra & others. Directed by Devang Dholakia and produced by K.K Agarwal, the film released on 8th May, 2015.
