The shooting of the film has been going on in full swing in and around Manali with the couple enjoying and bonding big time in the snow laden valley.

The Tuesday shoot saw Ranbir finally confessing his love for Deepika after a whole week of struggle. According to unit sources, Ranbir and Deepika essay the role of trekkers in YJHD, and in this particular scene (which was canned), Ranbir finally managed to confess his love, after trying in vain for quite some time to express his feelings and propose to his lady love.

The shooting took place on the banks of the majestic Beas River on the busy Kullu-Manali highway amidst lots of security. Quite a huge crowd had gathered around the shooting spot to watch the shoot but they could do so only from a distance as naturally the security and crew did not want any disturbance. Even after the shoot the stars did not interact with the public who were quite disappointed but kept on hanging around just to see a glimpse of their favourite stars.
According to the director Ayan Mukerji, more shooting will take place on various locations on the Kullu-Manali highway, and they will resume the shooting today (Wednesday) as well.
