Vivek isn’t taking sides in Ram Gopal Varma – Sanjay Dutt fight

While Ram Gopal Varma and Sanjay Dutt fight continues to be in the limelight even after a week, one man who is staying away from all the mayhem is Vivek Oberoi. Choosing not to take sides and working with both ‘camps’, Vivek is keeping a low profile and just going through his gruelling shooting schedules without taking sides.

“When the going is good for Vivek, he doesn’t have any reasons to indulge himself into any camp talks,” says a close associate, “He was launched by Ramu in COMPANY and also got a second lease of life with RAKHT CHARITRA 1 & 2 which fetched him critical acclaim, if not the commercial success. However that doesn’t mean he would not work with Dutt. In fact as of now he has more or less completed ZILLA GHAZIABAD with him and has also started SHER. Relationship ek jagah hai, kaam apni jagah. He doesn’t wish to be involved in any mud sledging.”

CHECK OUT: Has Vivek Oberoi come back with a vengeance?

One can well understand if Vivek feels so since he has anyways suffered loss of precious time early on his career. For an actor who was once considered as a strong successor of Shahrukh Khan, a few inconsequential films coupled with personal alliances resulted in him being left behind in the race.

“Though not anymore,” says an industry veteran, “Also he is shifting genres as well. Other than films with Dutt, he is also working with Hrithik Roshan in KRRISH 3 where he is the main villain. Plus there are comedies like KISMAT LUV PAISA DILLI and JAYANTABHAI KI LUV STORY, both of which are solo starrers. And then there is MASTI 2 which would be huge. With so much happening, the last thing that Vivek would want to do is embroil himself into any controversy or politics.”
