Amitabh Bachchan has helped in restoring a Charlie Chaplin’s THE FLOOR WALKER at the upcoming Mumbai Film Festival starting October 17th.

Revealed Ramesh Sippy, one of the trustees of the Mumbai Film Festival, ”There is a special section of restored films being shown at the festival. One of the films has been restored by none other than Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. The film is called FLOOR WALKER by Charlie Chaplin. If Mr. Bachchan has taken the trouble to restore it, then it must be classic and a masterpiece.”

The Chairman of the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI), Shyam Benegal said, ”Amitabh Bachchan helped in sponsoring the restoration process. He wanted to be a part of the festival in some way and this was his way of showing support. He has put up the funds to help restore this film which will be presented to all.”
The Mumbai Film Festival is being presented by Reliance Entertainment and is organised by MAMI.
