While there are speculations rife about Kareena Kapoor being replaced by B-town’s uncrowned numero-uno actress Deepika Padukone, producer and filmmaker Karan Johar got on to a micro-blogging site and rubbished the rumours.

Deepika, who is currently riding high with five back-to-back hits COCKTAIL, RACE 2, YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI, CHENNAI EXPRESS, GOLIYON KI RAASLEELA RAM-LEELA, was said to be approached for the film keeping in mind her track record, especially because Kareena hasn’t delivered a hit film in a long time, her last film being GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN.
With all these rumours, Karan Johar thought it would be apt to clarify them and thus posted on a social networking site. ”Kareena Kapoor is very much a part of SHUDHI…which stars Hrithik Roshan…. directed by Karan Malhotra… the film will commence next year,” posted KJo.
Well, we hope this piece of news brings in some relief for the Kareena Kapoor-Hrithik Roshan fans!
