Recently, a Khan, who loses his shirt a tad too often… literally and figuratively… and goes by the first name of Salman… was in for a rude shock, when he found his trademark lucky phiroza bracelet missing!
The rescue mission ended with JAI HO co-star Ashmit Patel finding it in the swimming pool of his Panvel farmhouse. And suddenly Ashmit Patel found himself twirling under the tabloid spotlight!.
''I've known Salman Khan for many years now,'' reveals Ashmit, ''In fact, when I came down from America, it was Salman Khan who encouraged me to take up acting as a career. He was doing a film with my sister Ameesha called YEH HAI JALWA and one day he dropped in at our home. Salman encouraged me to go to the gym and also helped train me in action and fight sequences.''
Ashmit is also very kicked about 'THE FLAG,' his period film that's making the film festival rounds. On the anvil is another exciting thrill, that he's expressly blissed out about.''From mid-February I will start shooting for an international bilingual film,'' reveals the actor.
And there are more plans in the offing. Patel has plans to turn producer. ''My writers and I are developing a subject that deals with the real-life life story of an athlete. Once, we have the script fully ready we will be sourcing financiers for the film and I will be a co-producer on the film.''
